Here are 9 examples of men's neckwear; each of which is geometrical in design!

Many people of all ages are attracted to different styles of clothing based on style, color, what is perceived to be in fashion, and, perhaps to your surprise, by an inherent human appreciation of geometry!

Most students who study geometry never stop to think about its applications to fashion and design, but in fact, people who wish to pursue careers in fashion design need to have the ability to imagine their designs, place them on paper, create prototypes, choose appropriate colors and fabric, and finally create something that others will find desirable.

An endeavor as creative as fashion design can be lucrative. Designers need to be able to create intricate geometrical designs that are drawn to scale. These designs just do not happen. They are created with a mathematical mind!

You may be interested to know that many ancient civilizations learned to create geometric constructions with nothing more than a straightedge and a compass! The popular geometric shapes are ones that are found everywhere in nature.
